Job Summary:

Our client is seeking a Application Developer to join their team! This position is located in Tempe, Arizona.

Duties:

• Develop and maintain backend services with a focus on performance, scalability, and security
• Contribute to backend web systems and installer logic for point-of-sale device integration
• Write and support backend code in Golang, C#, and/or PHP, with an emphasis on Golang
• Collaborate with teams to review pull requests and occasionally contribute to C# applications, non-UI only
• Support and enhance services that interact with POS devices and backend systems hosted in AWS
• Work in a Linux-based environment and ensure backend services are properly configured and managed
• Ensure data privacy and compliance in PCI or HIPAA-regulated environments
• Take ownership of tasks, work autonomously, and proactively explore and contribute to other areas of the product
• Use Terraform for infrastructure deployment and maintenance in AWS
• Troubleshoot, debug, and maintain a clean and efficient code base

Desired Skills/Experience:

• Strong hands-on experience in Golang, with additional experience in C# or PHP
• Experience in backend web development, preferably for systems integrated with POS hardware
• Solid understanding of backend service architecture and service-to-service communication
• Comfortable working in Linux environments and managing backend services independently
• Familiarity with AWS services and infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform
• Knowledge of data security and compliance requirements in PCI or HIPAA environments is highly desirable
• Proven ability to work independently, take initiative, and solve problems with minimal guidance
• Strong collaborative skills and willingness to contribute across development areas as needed
• Experience supporting and maintaining legacy and modern codebases
• Prior exposure to installer logic or backend scripting for application deployment is a plus
