Shifts: Tues-Sat or Sun-Thurs, days

Location: West Sacramento, California

Salary: $17.50-$19.00/hour DOE

Medical benefits-eligible first of the month following 28 days of employment. All other benefits-eligible first of the month following 90 days of employment.

Position Overview : The Janitor is responsible for cleaning buildings, removing debris, and keeping areas neat and tidy. Vacuums and buffs floors, shampoos carpets, dust surfaces, empties trash receptacles, replace lining of trash cans and report any facility deficiencies.

Language Skills: English proficiency required. Spanish is a plus.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None.

Amount of Travel Involved : 25%

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Follow all safety procedures and work as safe as possible at all times.
• Maintain Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s).
• Responsible for basic cleaning of offices, and break rooms, including dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, wax and buff floors, dusting, clean appliances, empty trash receptacles, picking up larger objects off the floor, and spot cleaning glass and windows.
• Responsible for basic cleaning of restrooms, including restocking dispensers, emptying trash, cleaning and sanitizing fixtures, cleaning mirrors, cleaning partition doors and walls, sweeping and mopping tile floors, and cleaning toilets and urinals
• Sets up, stocks, and maintains cleaning equipment and supplies.
• Monitors and maintains sanitation and organization of assigned areas.
• Assists other departments when needed to ensure optimum service to guests.
• Maintain a positive work atmosphere and interaction with customers, co-workers, and management
• Perform all other duties as assigned o Regular and punctual attendance
• To perform this job successfully, must be able to perform each fundamental task listed above satisfactorily

Education and/or Experience:

• Must have high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum 6 months’ work experience
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.

Work Environment: Normal office working conditions as well as industrial areas. The noise level in the work environment is normally moderate.
