Job description Position Summary: The Loan Operations Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient daily operations of the Lending Department. This detail-oriented individual will be responsible for maintaining loan files, providing excellent support through phone and email communication, and processing incoming mail in a timely manner. The ideal candidate will be a proactive self-starter with a positive, solutions-oriented approach and demonstrate a "can do" and "how can I help" attitude.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities: •Respond to support requests from bank personnel and customers.
•Receive and file all loan documents and related items from off-site offices.
•Process incoming and returned mail.
•Maintain accurate insurance and collateral records within the Bank's core system, ensuring timely updates
•Assist with gathering materials and loan files for audits.
•Prepare loan payoff letters and loan advance requests.
Other Tasks: •Answer incoming customer phone calls directed to Loan Administration.
•Assist with flood insurance reviews.
•Assist with real estate property tax monitoring.
•Assist with paid loans processing and archiving paid loan files.
•Assist with search orders.
•Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Required: An employee at the level of a Loan Operations Assistant must be able to perform each responsibility satisfactorily. The following are examples to criteria that will be utilized:

•Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfort navigating the Bank's computer-based systems.
•Strong understanding of basic loan documentation and processes is a plus.
Education and/or Experience: •High school diploma or equivalent required.
•1-3 years of relevant experience within a commercial bank lending or loan operations setting.
