Position Highlights

The Radovick Lab at UArizona Phoenix has an opening for a post-doctoral researcher to study the role of the hypothalamus in regulating reproductive hormone secretion. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking research and co-author publications. The effects of sex steroids and neural proteins on brain circuits controlling puberty and fertility are a key focus. Research is conducted in mouse models, addressing the interaction of hormones and neuropeptides in coordinating the brain's regulation of puberty and reproduction. Lab techniques include a combination of in vivo animal work and bench work.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Conduct research in mouse models, addressing the interaction of hormones and neuropeptides in coordinating the brain's regulation of puberty and reproduction.
  • Independently develop reports and manuscripts and present findings in tabular, oral, written, and/or graphic formats.
  • Grant writing and manuscript preparation.
  • Participate at scientific conferences and present findings.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of coordinating experiments, and completing analysis, statistics, and interpretation.
  • Ability to communicate in a clear, concise manner orally and in writing.
  • Ability to participate at scientific conferences and present findings.
  • Knowledge of grant writing and manuscript preparation.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently develop reports and manuscripts and present findings in tabular, oral, written, and/or graphic formats.

Minimum Qualifications
  • PhD in neuroscience, molecular biology, physiology, endocrinology, or reproduction or related field of study.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Individuals with backgrounds in neuroscience, molecular biology, physiology, endocrinology, or reproduction are encouraged to apply. Must have a proven record of productive research as a graduate student or early-level postdoc. Please note that U.S. citizens or green card holders will receive top preference due to eligibility for NIH postdoctoral fellowships. However, exceptional international candidates with a productive track record may also be considered.
