Our client, a leader within the entertainment space, is looking for a Production Designer to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that the content and integrity of the concept is maintained throughout the design, production, and installation process.

**THIS IS A W2 CONTRACT**

Responsibilities

• Provide design direction and establish priorities for Show Set vendors, while partnering with the Show Set Lead to develop and refine design drawings.
• Oversee the production and installation phases, offering daily guidance to crews and resolving conflicts with a proactive, intuitive approach.
• Plan and manage mock-ups, staging efforts, and peer review sessions to ensure alignment with creative intent and project goals.
• Monitor progress against schedule and budget, reporting updates and adjustments to project leadership as needed.
• Act as a subject-matter expert in show set production, applying deep fabrication knowledge and leadership skills in a collaborative, creative environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with a minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in design and fabrication.
• Background in theme park design, theatrical production, and installation.
• Proficient in interpreting and working with construction documents.
• Familiarity with 3D design software is a plus, though not mandatory.
• Proven experience overseeing vendors for high-end, custom show set production.
• Practical knowledge of, or experience managing, show set fabrication processes such as welding, carpentry, scenic painting, molding, sculpting, fiberglass work, or model making.
• Strong appreciation for cross-disciplinary collaboration in the design process.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Primarily first shift work, with occasional second and third shift requirements.
