We are looking for a qualified Test Technician to perform Electromagnetic Compatibility testing on 2nd shift in Troy, MI. The role pays $25-35/hr to start, but can offer more if someone has more senior technician experience.

Mon - Fri (2:30pm - 11:30pm)

DUTIES:

• Perform EMC tests per documented laboratory procedures and standards
• Receiving and identifying test samples per laboratory procedures
• Receiving training on laboratory test methods and becoming autonomous
• Performing tests as defined in test plans and standards / specifications
• Fabricating harnesses, load simulators and fixtures to facilitate testing
• Follow the laboratory quality management system to continuously improve, including:
• Participation in internal quality audits and third party assessments
• Immediate identification of any nonconforming work
• Participation in laboratory group meetings
• Closing assigned corrective actions required (CAR)
• Making suggestions for improving laboratory processes

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to read, understand & follow standards, test instructions, procedures and schematic diagrams
• Ability to fabricate test harnesses, load simulators and test fixtures
• Good technical writing skills
• Strong computer literacy
• Organized and methodical work habits
• Neat and precise record keeping
• Preferred Qualifications/Skills
• Experience using electrical test equipment including oscilloscopes, digital multi-meters, power supplies, spectrum analyzers, etc.
