POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The Innovance Training and Developmental Manager is responsible for several human resources functions, including serving as the lead for learning and development, succession planning, and other processes that impact our employee-owners such as performance management, change management, enforcement of policies ensuring consistent practices and an excellent company culture. In this role, the incumbent will work with leaders on employment brand, along with creating innovative engagement programs and communication methods for our employee-owners.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Create and lead innovative programs focused on employee growth, learning, development, and succession.
  • Work closely with front-line leaders and employee-owners utilizing established processes and procedures to ensure smooth resolutions for issues while promoting positive employee relations.
  • Serve as the lead for the company’s learning management and performance management systems.
  • Lead company-wide performance management initiatives and provide support to company leaders and counsel them on proper delivery and execution. 
  • Work with the HR team and other leaders to develop strategies that help the supported operating units grow.
  • Maintain strong visibility with employee-owners and address issues/concerns that are identified in a timely manner. 
  • Lead, coordinate, and conduct training while assessing its effectiveness and making necessary changes to improve content delivery.
  • Lead company tuition reimbursement and family scholarship programs.
  • Stay abreast of legal changes and ensure compliance with state and federal laws through consistent application of company policies, programs, procedures, and initiatives. 
  • Become an informed expert with the employee benefits package and provide assistance when needed. 
  • Participate in operations meetings as needed and advise on topics related to our employee-owners. 
  • Proactively seek market information and make recommendations in all facets of human resources to gain data that helps maintain competitive advantages.
  • Partner with leadership development partners such as local universities and consultants.
  • Work closely with the Trainer to ensure all training matrices are updated annually and that all training is completed on-time.
  • Conduct training methods research, technical training curriculum research and costs. 
  • Assist with various Wellness activities including the Wellness Committee, annual flu vaccine clinics, and biometric screening.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in human resources, training, education, business administration or related field, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Previous experience developing learning & development, succession planning, and/or employee relations programming.
  • Must have attention to detail and high accuracy rate. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Working with ISO training requirements is desired but not required.

Salary Description

$68,000 - $90,000
