Hours: 20 hours, Non-exempt Schedule: School Year: Monday – Thursday 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Summer: Monday – Thursday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. *Occasional Saturdays for Special Events and Trips* Job Summary: Ensure that all correspondence, written reports and telephone communications are handled in a manner that reflects the quality of service as well as the professional standards of the program. Assist the Program Director and Coordinator in the orderly processing of all aspects of program development and implementation. The policy of confidentiality regarding student/participant information must be strictly adhered to. Major Duties: Process all clerical material, including typing, maintaining files, and filing of all program and administrative correspondence and reports. Assist Program Director in all programmatic duties. Create a culture that is cheerful, welcoming, and youth friendly. Work with all other program staff to ensure work readiness training is high quality, rigorous, and meets the needs and interests of students and business partners. Ensure DYCD contractual requirements are met. Attend external meetings and trainings with DYCD and DOE leaders as needed. Collaborate with DOE Internship Coordinator with career pathways development and placement of interns. Assist in gathering data and compiling statistical information for program reports. Work collaboratively with GSS community school programs located in the school. Maintain inventory of office supplies. Oversee the collection and preparation of program documents. Initiate, collate and record all documentation required by the Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD). Assist in the registration of program participants. Assist in the operational needs of the program where needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: High school diploma required. Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Must be able to interact positively and courteously with all program stakeholders. Must have a commitment to work from a strength based and/or youth development perspective. Must be able to multitask and be flexible with program needs. Experience working with high-school aged students. Strong relational skills and community engagement experience.
